Saturday morning started with a severe easterly gale which had raged all night so no sleep for those in tents. The day has been very hot with full sunshine showing the village at its best.

Arriving Pass of the Cattle Friday

A long tiring drive today as Bank Holiday traffic clogging roads all the way. Hundreds of motorcyclists converging on bike fair Fort William. Forest and moorland fires at Rannoch and at the foot of Ben Nevis Fort William. Once further north on the Kyle road and Loch Carron the traffic lessened. A beautiful Scottish west coast evening. Arriving at the foot of the pass of the cattle the warning sign says it all!
